Feel good Friday- K9 Officers

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - A k9 officer can cost up to $20,000. That includes the dog, the training, and the equipment and because it's so expensive, often departments aren't able to make the purchase.

But, there's a local couple working to change. K9 for officers is a non -profit and the founders were telling me the reality is in the end it is tough - they grow so close to these dogs and then to see them go on is hard but, the pay -off happens when they meet again either out on the streets or at graduation.
