Federal prosecutors will not pursue charges against admitted Santa Fe shooter

The admitted Santa Fe High School shooter will not face additional charges that could have guaranteed more time behind bars if convicted.

Family members of the victims say federal prosecutors will not pursue charges.

Dimitrios Pagourtzis is facing state charges of capital murder and aggravated assault against a peace officer for last May's shooting that killed 10 people.

If convicted, he faces a life sentence, but he could be eligible for parole after 40 years because of his age at the time.
