A Dallas Cowboys bus headed to training camp in California was involved in a deadly crash.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the crash happened just before 2 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 93, about 80 miles southeast of Las Vegas and north of Kingman, Ariz.

State troopers say the bus was going northbound when a southbound van made a left turn across traffic and onto a road leading toward the Grand Canyon Skywalk, a popular vantage point.

All four people in the van, three women and a man, were wearing their seat belts, but died at the scene.

An Arizona DPS spokesman said it's too soon to draw conclusions about who may be at fault.

“We are early on, so they are still conducting interviews, measurements have been taken, photographs at the scene,” said DPS Spokesman Quentin Mehr. “So at this time, I do not have information on actual cause.”

On the bus were Dallas Cowboys columnist Mickey Spagnola and longtime bus driver Emery Tyler, who was behind the wheel during Sunday's accident. A videographer and Rowdy the mascot were also on the bus. They were all uninjured and cancelled the later fan appearance.

No Cowboys players were on the bus.

Spagnola sent out a tweet early Monday morning thanking everyone for their well wishes and said “our foursome is physically ok.”

The group was scheduled to attend another event Monday in West Hollywood, but it has been canceled.

Jerry Jones released a statement saying:  "An accident involving loss of life is tragic.  We as an organization are deeply saddened, and our thoughts, prayers and concerns at this time are with the family members and loved ones of all who were lost."

The identities of the four people killed in the van have not yet been released.
