Compassionate Houston fundraising event

Almost 200 people came together in Houston on Friday to remind us about compassion.

Compassionate Houston held its annual fundraiser and luncheon at the Briar Club on Friday afternoon. Those who attended the event heard stories of compassion by people who make a difference for their community.

From activists who rescue animals to philanthropists who start a school for less fortunate children and making sure that people who cannot afford food have something to eat.

Compassionate Houston organizers say their purpose is to be there for those who are in need like Hurricane Harvey victims.
