The video is shocking. An officer's body cam footage shows his attempt to stop a fleeing vehicle take a dramatic turn.

The Sands Spring Police Department released the footage from the November 6 call, reporting a woman driving a stolen vehicle. The woman, 41-year-old Stacy Ann Bunsey, pulled into an elementary school parking lot, where officers blocked her in.

According to local news reports, Sand Springs Master Patrol Officer Matt Stacy was initially setting up a tire spike system in an attempt to stop the fleeing vehicle. Just seconds after exiting his car, Stacy's body cam catches footage of Stacy drawing his weapon as Bunsey rams his patrol vehicle--sending him flipping across the pavement.

After the crash, Bunsey was arrested after being tasered and removed from the vehicle. Stacy escaped the crash with only minor scrapes and bruises.

Bunsey was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle after prior conviction, eluding a police officer after prior conviction, assault and battery with a deadly weapon on a police officer after prior conviction, driving under the influence of drugs and resisting arrest.
