Activists fighting efforts to roll back protections for transgender people
About three dozen members of Houston's transgender community, along with supporters, gathered outside of City Hall Monday night. The purpose was to send a message to President Donald Trump: We won't be defined out of existence.
This comes as the Trump Administration considers defining gender by genitalia at birth. This would roll back protections for transgender people that were put in place by the Obama Administration. The policy in place back then would allow the individual to decide their gender. President Trump says that should change.
On the Factor to talk about this is Monica Roberts, blogger and transgender activist, and Mo Cortez from the Organizacion Latina de Trans en Texas.
