86 arrested in immigration operation across Texas and Oklahoma

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reported on Sunday, January 28, that 86 “criminal aliens and immigration violators” had been arrested across North Texas and Oklahoma during a three-day operation that ended Thursday.

ICE said 60 were arrested in various Texas towns and cities, including 11 in Dallas, where this footage was shot, and 11 in Lubbock. The other 16 people were arrested in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Those arrested ranged in age from 19 to 61, ICE said.

In a statement published on the ICE website, the agency stressed that many of those arrested had prior criminal histories, and that 21 had “illegally re-entered the United States after having been previously deported.”

Of the 86 arrested, 55 were from Mexico, 21 were from the Central American countries of Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Panama, and the rest were from Cameroon, Liberia, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Jordan, Laos, and the Philippines, ICE officials said.
