6-year-old drowns in Katy, deputies say

KATY, Texas - Harris County deputies are investigating after a 6-year-old child drowned in a pool in Katy.

Deputies say they were called to 24999 Ceremonial Lane. When they arrived to the scene, the child was found face down in a pool Sunday.

EMS performed CPR and the child was taken to Texas Children’s Hospital at Barker Cypress. The child was pronounced dead.
