3-alarm fire at Harwin Drive warehouse
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - More than 130 firefighters are working together to put out a warehouse fire in southwest Houston. No injuries were reported in the fire, but the firefighting effort is causing traffic trouble on Harwin Drive near South Gessner.
Heavy smoke, flames and water has damaged two warehouses. Firefighters arrived to find the flames and smoke coming from the warehouse before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Within ten minutes, on-site firefighters requested a second alarm to gather more help. By 12:51 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters requested a third alarm.
Almost 45 total firefighting units responded to the burning warehouse. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the intersection until further notice.
