What we know:
Investigators say at 7:48 a.m., officers were notified about a chase heading southbound from Montgomery County. Officers began checking U.S. Hwy. 59 and found a white vehicle with no plate, driving erratically at a high rate of speed.
Humble Police tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused and took off.
After a short distance, the driver and passenger bailed from the vehicle and began to run around Memorial Hermann Hospital.
The passenger was quickly detained. Humble Police say the "short run was too much for the suspect, and he struggled to walk or even stand after his short run."
The driver was found a short distance away.
Police say the driver fell into a ditch and was "soaking wet and bleeding."

Investigators discovered the group had been committing crimes since 2021, and the number of stores they hit was lengthy.
Investigators say the driver "thought he could lie his way out of the situation by telling the officer that he had just come from his girlfriend’s apartment. Little did the suspect know that the apartments he was referring to were only rented out to the elderly, not to mention, it did not explain why he was out of breath, wet and bleeding."
Both suspects were handed over to Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputies.
They learned the duo had stolen more than $1,000 worth of Lego sets from a business in Montgomery County.
They are also possibly linked to thefts from Humble.
One of the suspects had an outstanding warrant.
The suspects are facing evading charges in Montgomery and Harris County.
