Domestic murder-suicide at Dunkin' Donuts near Memorial Park

HOUSTON (FOX 26) — Houston police are investigating a deadly case of domestic violence.

Melina Lopez's sister says Lopez was the manager of the Dunkin' Donuts store on Memorial Drive near Memorial Park. She adds that Lopez placed a protective order on her boyfriend on Thursday. That man was the father of Lopez's two children.

Police say the boyfriend walked into the store, shot and killed Lopez, then took his own life. 

Lopez's sister tells FOX 26 News that she is devastated and that everyone who knew the store manager is very upset.
