Kiran's in Houston Restaurant Weeks

Only a few days remain for Houston Restaurant Weeks, which benefits the Houston Food Bank. Chef Kiran Verma shows event founder Cleverley Stone several of the delicious lunch options that are available at her eponymous restaurant until Friday, Sept. 29, including roasted beet salad with goat cheese, chicken biryani and an assortment of multi-dish thalis. The two-course lunch costs $20 and chef Verma will donate $3 to the Houston Food Bank from each lunch sold. The Houston Food Bank will generate nine meals from each donation. As a chef, Verma has participated in Houston Restaurant Weeks, the largest annual fundraising event for the largest food bank in the U.S. during the last fifteen years.
