Izakaya, the first Japanese gastropub in Houston, is participating in Houston Restaurant Weeks for the first time. The annual event benefits the Houston Food Bank.

Diners will find grilled oysters, Japanese beef curry and butter mochi on the Izakaya $35 three-course dinner menu. Izakaya will donate $5 to the Houston Food Bank each time someone orders the Houston Restaurant Weeks dinner. The Houston Food Bank will provide 15 meals from that one donation.

Houston Restaurant Weeks is the largest event of its kind and serves as the largest annual fundraiser for the Houston Food Bank, the largest facility of its kind in the U.S.

284 restaurants, from as far north as The Woodlands to as far south as Galveston, are participating in Houston Restaurant Weeks during 2017, offering multi-course meals ranging in price from $20 for lunch to $45 for dinner.

Restaurants will donate from $3 to $7 per meal sold to the Houston Food Bank. For list of restaurants taking part in Houston Restaurant Weeks and their menus visit HoustonRestaurantWeeks.com.
