A tornado was captured on camera spinning across Shreveport, Louisiana, on March 2. Footage filmed by Annsley Bradshaw shows a tornado forming amid flashes of light. Parts of the state continued to be under a tornado watch until the morning of March 3, and severe weather rattled through many cities.

Beautiful weekend weather continues with warm temperatures expected next week

We've got a glorious-looking weekend! Get out there and enjoy the lower humidity, because stickiness returns to the air early next week. After several warm and humid days, we'll turn breezy and unsettled toward the end of the week. Temperatures toward the tail end of the 7-day will largely depend on the timing of our next front, which looks to usher in cooler air for spring break week.

This weekend, weather will be perfect for rodeo and outdoor events with plenty of sun and mild temps in the upper 70s to near 80. Next week, we get even warmer Monday through Wednesday with low rain chances. Better chance for rain arrives late week with cooler weather. Have a great weekend!

Beautiful, quiet, and cooler weather has returned to southeast Texas behind last night's cold front. A light jacket might be needed for rodeo events tonight with temps falling to the 50s. Skies should be mostly clear and the weather will be dry. This weekend, weather will be perfect for rodeo and outdoor events with plenty of sun and mild temps in the upper 70s to near 80. Several Southeaster states are recovering after severe weather brought a wave of tornadoes through the area on Thursday evening with wind gusts of more than 70 miles per hour being reported.

Hold on to your cowboy hats if you're heading down to NRG today! Winds will be lighter tomorrow and the weekend is looking glorious for rodeo-goers. Early next week, temperatures and humidity will be back on the rise with a few light and spotty showers. A late-week front will bring in higher rain chances and a cool-down for next weekend.

Threat for severe weather should end by midnight with the line expected to be right over Houston around 10 PM. Although the biggest severe threat & tornado threat will remain over North Texas.
