Severe weather is likely today from Austin to Dallas to northern Louisiana with large hail possible. The majority of that should stay well north of Houston, but a few isolated storms are possible. Otherwise, look for a warm and breezy Sunday. Get ready for borderline hot weather Monday with highs close to 90! A few showers around southeast Texas to wrap up the weekend. Sunday's afternoon temperatures will stay in the lower 80s. Houston could reach 90 degrees for the first time this year at the start of the workweek. After the two day warm up, rain returns for the rest of the week.

Saturday looks warm but otherwise quiet, and Sunday features cloudier skies, slightly cooler temps, and isolated rain/storm chances. Mornings early next week will be incredibly warm and humid, and afternoons once again approach 90. On Tuesday, it'll get breezy as our next system approaches midweek. Look for rounds of rain and storms, followed by a decrease in temperatures and we do look to unfortunately remain unsettled through Easter weekend.

Cold front will bring in a small chance for a few strong storms through early tonight. Best chance will be north of Houston up around Conroe, Livingston, & Huntsville between 6-9 PM. An isolated damaging wind gust and some hail will be possible, along with frequent lightning and heavy downpours. Major tornado outbreak will remain to our NE up around Little Rock, Memphis, Des Moines, Cedar Rapids & St. Louis. Storms will try to push down into Houston around 10-11 PM but will likely be much weaker. Cold front will build in and bring in lower humidity for Saturday. Temperatures though will still be very warm in the upper 80s. Look for another round of storms possible Sunday afternoon and evening. Biden: Feds 'not leaving' Mississippi town hit by deadly tornado

Last week's tornado destroyed roughly 300 homes and businesses in Rolling Fork and the nearby town of Silver City. The death toll in Mississippi stood at 21. One person died in Alabama, as well.

We end the work week windy and warm with only isolated rain chances. A few storms north of town may be on the stronger side late tonight. Saturday looks great for the Astros day game, outdoor plans, and Final Four festivities in town! No April Fools tricks from the weather, but on Palm Sunday scattered storms return in the afternoon.
