Cold front is bringing in a big weather change to the Houston area with falling temperatures and widespread rain. In fact, 1-3" of rain is likely through Saturday with a few 4"+ amounts possible, especially near the coast. Rain will continue to build in tonight with a few rumbles of thunder possible. There is a low marginal 5% risk for "Excessive Rain" that could lead to a few flooding issues through tonight for Houston and areas west of Houston. Rain will be widespread Friday morning but should become less widespread Friday afternoon. But rain increases again Saturday with the cold front hanging out just offshore this weekend. So rain is likely for Veterans Day with spotty rain also sticking around for Sunday. W stay in this unsettled weather pattern with below normal temperatures through the middle of next week

Another big weather pattern change is right around the corner with one more warm day ahead on Thursday. Temperatures will take a noticeable drop Friday through early next week with highs in the 60s and overnight lows in the 50s. Fall weather is almost back!
