Mini Magic Brings Big Joy!
WakeUp! Friday Favorite by: Lina de Florias When Christian Hull's blind box search to collect all 30 mini groceries from Aldi's Australia ended with a hole in his collection, it left a hole in his heart. His frantically fun search for the missing mini bottle of sauce turned strangers into a collective team: How could THEY (the mystical mini sprites) do this to US (the thousands who thronged to his social feeds)! All of us asking the same question, "Where is that BLEEPin' bottle?!" His collection of fan-friends would fill the gap of that minis collection themselves! They filled that one tiny space by filling his post office box, if not the entire post office (shout-out to that team btw!), and filling people's hearts with delight and joy. People around the world From kids to grans and nans From brothers and sisters and moms and da's And friends from distant lands... Thousands have put pen to paper again, actually writing letters to share stories of their fabulous finds and treasured memories of family trips, moments of laughter and things that they forgot. They've sent delicately wrapped mini items to Christian and a reminder to all of without even knowing it. A reminder that beauty is a feeling. It comes when we hear laughter, and when we smile. When we say hello or giggle or linger a little while. When we think of someone we once knew and wonder where they are. When we feel the first rain drops and see many stars. He says he doesn't know how this all happened, but I do. Because Christian showed us what we forgot we knew; we can all fill the missing holes wherever they are - one teeny, mini piece at a time. Now that's a collection worth searching for. And that's what makes Christian Hull, his ever-growing mini collection, and his many faithful fans - my Friday Favorite. xoxo, Lina
