O'Brien on Jaelen Strong: "He needs to practice better"
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - It was a short sentence, but the message was clear. Jaelen Strong needs to show the Texans he deserves NFL playing time.
Strong hasn't played a regular-season snap yet this year and was on the inactive list Sunday when the Texans lost to Carolina. Asked what the rookie needs to do to change that and get on the field, Bill O'Brien said, "He needs to practice better."
Asked further on what he needs to do in practice better, O'Brien said, "Like everybody, just try to improve every day."
Strong was selected in the third round of the most recent NFL Draft. The Texans traded up to draft the receiver out of Arizona State.
