Karys Belger is a reporter at FOX 26. She joined the station in December 2025 and is excited to tell meaningful stories across the Houston area.

Before joining FOX 26, Karys reported in Atlanta, Georgia, and Buffalo, New York. She has covered everything from breaking news and major weather events to in-depth enterprise stories and exclusive interviews. Her work has taken her into neighborhoods, courtrooms, and communities during moments of both celebration and crisis. Her reporting earned her multiple award nominations for enterprise and community-focused journalism.

Karys is a graduate of Spelman College and Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.

When she’s not in the newsroom, Karys enjoys reading, checking out local coffee shops, and trying new restaurants. She’s also an unapologetic Beyoncé fan. She’s excited to call the Bayou City home and looks forward to experiencing everything it has to offer.
