Three men arrested in Fresno drug operation

FRESNO (FOX 26) - The Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force executed a warrant Thursday night which resulted in three arrests and confiscation of illicit drugs worth more than $52,000.

A warrant was a result of an investigation into the distribution of multiple types of illicit narcotics being sold from a residence in Fresno.

Through the aid of the Fort Bend Regional SWAT members, the warrant was executed and resulted in the arrests of Christopher Portillo, 25, of Fresno, Donnelle Burton, 23, of Fresno, and Jose Arias, 25, of Houston.

All three were charged with first degree felony counts and two second degree felony counts for Manufacturing Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a State Jail Felony penalty Group 4, and Possession of a Dangerous Drug, a Class A misdemeanor.

Locations like these are referred to as "Trap Houses," offering multiple types of narcotics being sold by multiple dealers, agents said. "These locations are extremely dangerous and a threat to any community in which they operate," agents said.

The Task Force located marijuana, Xanax, powder cocaine, morphine, Promethazine with Codeine (Syrup), approximately 1,800 tablets of Ecstacy, U.S. currency and multiple firearms.
The total street value of the narcotics seized at the scene is approximately $52,535.

Portillo remains in jail on six charges of Manufacturing and Delivery of Controlled Substances; one charge of Possession of Marijuana; one charge of Possession of a Dangerous Drug; and four charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

Arias remains in the Fort Bend County Jail with charges of Possession of Marijuana as well as six charges of Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance; and one charge of Possession of a Dangerous Drug.

Burton remains in the Fort Bend County Jail on one charge of Possession of Marijuana; six charges of Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance; and one charge of Possession of a Dangerous Drug.

The Possession of a Dangerous Drug has an automatic bond of $750.  The three suspects have not seen a Magistrate, so a bond amount has not been set.
