Texas Rangers investigating wound to Montgomery County deputy's child

The Texas Rangers are conducting an investigation into a gunshot wound suffered by the two-year-old child of a Montgomery County Sheriff's Office deputy. The investigation was at the request of the MCSO.
The child was taken to Texas Children’s Hospital with injuries determined not to be life threatening. The initial investigation indicates the injuries were the result of an accidental discharge. The investigation is ongoing.
