Reality of healthy obesity
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - "Healthy obesity" may sound like an oxymoron but it is a concept that is primarily affecting women.
The German Institute of Human Nutrition says that even though some women classified as obese may not have diabetes or hypertension, they are not healthy and are susceptible
Dr. Danish Ali from UTMB tells Isiah Carey that obesity is defined as a body mass index of more than 30.
Dr. Ali recommends that women categorized as obese increase their physical activity, monitor their dietary intake, cease smoking tobacco, avoid excessive alcohol consumption and get annual physical checkups.
