Newly elected State Representative Christina Morales in the hot seat - What's Your Point?

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Greg Groogan sits down for a one on one conversation with newly elected State Representative Christina Morales.

Morales won the run-off election for District 145, earning 61% of the vote to Melissa Noriega's 39%.

The District 145 seat required a special election after Carol Alvarado, who won the election in November, was elected to the Texas Senate in a special election held in December to fill Sylvia Garcia's Texas Senate seat.

Texas House District 145 runs from downtown to the southeast, predominantly along the I-45 corridor. It includes parts of Houston, Pasadena and South Houston.
