Hyundai recalls over 54,000 Elantra hybrid vehicles over fire risk

Hyundai is recalling over 54,000 vehicles that were sold in the United States because of a potential fire risk, according to a U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) alert shared on May 16.
By the numbers:
Approximately 54,337 hybrid Hyundai Elantras that were sold between 2024 and 2026 are subject to the recall.
