Houston shooting: Brother-in-law killed after trying to calm domestic dispute
HOUSTON - A shooting scene in northwest Houston left one person dead after the incident began as a domestic dispute between a man and a woman.

What we know:
Houston Police Department Lieutenant JP Horelica, officers were called to the 2600 block of Garden City around 1 a.m.

The incident started as a domestic dispute, but a brother-in-law came to the scene to intervene and calm the situation down.
Lt. Horelica says the man shot the brother-in-law and left the scene.
Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the brother-in-law dead at the scene.

Lt. Horelica reports HPD knows the identity of those involved, and they are trying to locate the suspect.
What we don't know:
Houston police have not given the suspect's name or age.
