Former Houston Texans player Chester Pitts talks being executive producer of film 'The Intruder'
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Former Houston Texans player Chester Pitts had a successful football career as an offensive lineman. Not just as a player, he also made sure to learn the business of football and everything that was involved.
Pitts tells me he took that same attitude to Hollywood. That’s where he got a chance to become an executive producer for the movie thriller, The Intruder, starring heavyweights Dennis Quaid, Michael Ealy and Meagan Good.
The movie is about a couple that couldn't be happier after buying their dream home from a mysterious and lonely widower. Their newfound paradise soon turns into a living nightmare when the seller-- still strangely attached to the house -- begins to show up and interfere in their daily lives. When his erratic behavior turns to obsession, the young couple soon finds themselves caught up in a violent confrontation that threatens to destroy everything they hold dear.
He says although his skills on the the field helped him with his new endeavors as EP, there’s no chance that will ever see him in front of the camera-- he’ll leave that to the pros.
