HOUSTON (FOX26) - Harris County Flood Control has an interactive flood warning map that is an easy way for you to check the water levels of nearby streams, creeks and bayous,
On the left hand side column select the channel status. You'll see a map of Harris county, Green squares mean all is well, a yellow triangle means water is approaching the top of the bank and a red exclamation mark means that the water is over it's bank.
As you move your cursor over each it will open a pop up window that explains how much over the bank the water has risen.
Additionally, this map will reveal rainfall measurements for the county. Select rainfall in the Map View column on the left side.
