Residents in the Elmgrove Subdivision say they've lived here for years and never had flood waters enter their homes.
They've gone through hurricanes like Ike and Harvey with their homes unscathed.
So what happened Wednesday that brought as much as five feet of water into some homes?
Residents like Vicki Dykes and Sonya Davis believe a nearby subdivision under construction is the culprit.
Several residents believe that construction project did something to the gulley, which forced water into their neighborhood while diverting it from the construction work.
They are demanding answers and are making city council member Dave Martin aware of the situation and their displeasure.
