Body found following reported shooting in Pleak area

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation in a residential area after finding a body following a reported shooting on Pleak Crossing near Cotton Creek in the Pleak area.

A public information officer for FBCSO tells FOX 26 News that a 24-year-old man shot his 21-year-old girlfriend in the head at around 2:21 p.m. Monday. He has been detained and taken into custody.
