A viewer's back yard is literally washing away every time it rains.
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Campbell’s home in North West Harris County backs up to a cement-lined ditch, a tributary of Cypress Creek.
On the other side of her fence is a huge crack in the top of that ditch.
"Every time when it rains the water goes through that crack back there, it erodes everything back here," she explained.
That erosion has created a huge hole in Campbell's back yard.
Campbell says the erosion extends all the way to her garage.
“It has put a crack in the foundation of the garage," she said.
According to Campbell, Harris County Flood control has known about the problem for years. Inspectors have been out to see what's going on. But nothing ever happened.
After Consumer Reporter Emily Akin called Harris County Flood Control District Commissioners Court authorized a plan to fix the ditch. Unfortunately for Campbell, repairs won't be made for almost 2 years!
