11 Beat the Heat Centers to open in Houston
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Mayor Sylvester Turner and Reliant are announcing the opening of several Beat the Heat Centers in Houston.
The centers will provide residents a place to escape high temperatures during the hot summer months and help conserve energy at homes.
Eleven shelters will be opened. The locations will be announced on Thursday.
This is the 14th year Reliant will open the centers in Houston.
