1-year-old shot near a gas station on Southwest Freeway, police say

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Police are responding to a shooting that injured a child on the Southwest Freeway.

Authorities say the incident happened at 8601 Southwest Freeway on the inbound side near a gas station at around 1:10 p.m. Wednesday.

According to HPD, a 1-year-old was shot. The child was transported to an area hospital with at least one gunshot wound, and is in unknown condition.
