Protecting your child's data from identity theft

A report claims that by the time your children turn 18, they will have more than 70,000 posts about them online.

The bigger the online footprint, the more vulnerable their information can be.

Tech expert Nick Wolny says a big concern is that hackers could hold onto data and use it for identity theft when the child turns 18.

He says it could be the child sharing data that the parent doesn't know about, or it could be the parent inadvertently sharing their child's information -- also known as "sharenting".

Wolny spoke to Anchor Melissa Wilson on Houston's Morning Show about how parents can protect their kids' data.
