Murals & art cars no challenge for Mr. D.

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - He is one of the most prolific visual artists in Houston and his work can be viewed all over the Bayou City. Sebastian “Mr. D” Boileau has made a splash with his intense and colorful murals that are usually several stories high. For one week, he is changing his focus from huge urban walls to one of the most high-tech cars on the road, the BMW i3.

Boileau has been working on the vehicle for several days and it will be unveiled on Thursday night as part of his solo exhibition AmeriCAN Graffiti at 1305 Gray Street. The proceeds from the sale or lease of the BMW i3 Art Car will benefit the Texan-French Alliance for the Arts’ Children’s Hospital Mural Project.
