Manilow Music Project giving school band $100K in instruments, uniforms
Music legend Barry Manilow has a huge opportunity for high school students.
He’s offering school bands an opportunity to win $100,000 for instruments and band uniforms.
“If you've got a school that has a band that needs instruments or band uniforms, just go on manilowmusicproject.org and tell us why you need these instruments. If you win this contest, we're going to give you $100,000 worth of instruments and band uniforms. Isn't that great?” Manilow says.
Those interested in the contest are asked to submit a video explaining who you are, why you need assistance, what you would use the money for, and how it would make a difference for your band. They’re looking for a high school band “with the most heart.”
You have until May 2 to submit an entry. Manilow makes the final decision.
We asked Manilow what he wants to see in these videos. He says he really just wants to know there are music lovers who really need this gift of music in their school.
