In fact, unseasonably warm weather is expected over the next 72 hours as an upper level ridge will settle into the area. Lows will still start off in the upper 60s, but highs on Sunday and Monday could reach the low 90s! This is nearly 10 degrees above the average high. Next rain chance won't arrive until Friday with a cold front set to move through.

While a coastal flooding remains, the worst threat for the Texas coastlines is from now until about 6PM where a 1-3 ft storm tide could lead to isolated flooding. Delta will quickly race off to the north after landfall with conditions improving as we head into Saturday.
