FOX 26 Houston Weather Forecast
Last night's storm system produced 1-2" of rain over much of the area. We are in between weather systems now with our next area of low pressure set to arrive late Thursday night into early Friday. This will mean heavy rain for the Friday AM rush and the possibility of a few strong storms and flooded streets. There's a low marginal risk of flooding Friday but the severe storm risk should stay east for now. Rain should end by Friday evening with another round of possible heavy rain and strong storms expected on Monday. We are in a 15% risk area for a few strong to severe storms Monday so keep checking back for updates. Also, make sure to download our FOX 26 Weather App for updates!

FOX 26 Houston Weather Forecast
Rounds of rain will impact us over the next several days with the most active weather expected tonight, Friday and Monday. Rain tonight could be heavy at times, especially between 9 PM and midnight. Rain should push out early Wednesday morning around 3-5 AM. Heavier rain is expected Friday with 1-3" possible. This will lead to a higher street flooding threat. We are already in the low threat for excessive rain that could lead to some flooding Friday. We get a break from the rain most of Saturday and Sunday which is good news for any college football national championship events going on. Monday is a different story though with a whopper of a system building in that could bring heavy rain and a few strong to severe storms. At least the college football national championship game will be in NRG Stadium where they do have a roof. Overall, temperatures remain cool through Saturday but heat up Sunday and Monday ahead of Monday's round of storms.
