HCSO: Arrest warrant filed for ex-boyfriend in deadly shooting of mother of 5

Ryniscia Sanford, a mother of five, was fatally shot in north Harris County on September 23, 2021.

A mother was fatally shot at an apartment complex in north Harris County on Thursday, and her ex-boyfriend has been identified as the alleged shooter, the sheriff’s office says.

Authorities say the mother of five, Ryniscia Sanford, was shot multiple times on Thursday in the 900 block of Cypress Station.

According to the sheriff’s office, witnesses reported that Sanford was arguing with a man before the shooting. The sheriff’s office says investigators also learned that Sanford was involved in an ongoing domestic situation involving an ex-boyfriend named Cameron Davis.

Friends and relatives of Sanford say she did not live at the huge apartment complex at 910 Cypress Station. But that’s where her life ended.

Authorities say witnesses later identified Davis as the person who shot Sanford.

Officials say an arrest warrant for Davis has been filed by the HCSO Homicide Unit for the murder of Sanford.
