Motorcyclist killed in Almeda Road crash

HOUSTON - One person has died after a crash reported in Houston's Astrodome Area on Saturday afternoon.

What we know:

Police say a crash was reported at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday on Almeda Road near Hepburn Street.

The crash reportedly involved a motorcycle and a minivan.

The van had just left a stop sign while going west on Hepburn as the motorcyclist was going north on Almeda. The van then struck the motorcycle.

The biker was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officials confirmed the minivan driver was not intoxicated.

What we don't know:

No one involved has been identified at this time. Police believe the biker was around 30 years old.

It's not clear if speed was a factor in this crash.
