Two deputies are recovering after a hit-and-run crash in northeast Harris County. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the two off-duty deputies were riding motorcycles when a black Chevrolet Impala crashed into them. The driver abandoned the car and was later arrested.

Deputies are searching for a woman who shot another woman four times point blank in the Tomball area. The victim was setting up for a garage sale outside her home.

President Donald Trump has announced a three-week deal that fully reopens the federal government.

The Texas Department of Transportation is closing the northbound Gulf Freeway ramp to southbound State Highway 288 and Interstate 69 near downtown Houston starting at 9 p.m. Friday. It will be closed for six months, while crews demolish it and build a new ramp.
