DC law firm in town offering to help Harvey victims level the playing field

More than six months have passed since Harvey forever changed Houston. While the lives of many residents are back to normal some folks are still out of their homes and trying to rebuild.

To add insult to injury, many Harvey victims are in a losing battle with FEMA and their insurance company.

"I think insurance companies are looking after one thing the insurance company," said Houston attorney Shane McClelland. "Insurance companies are always willing and ready to take in premiums but when it's their time to pay, they're always ready to delay the payment."

A Washington D.C. law firm is in Houston this week that says it wants to help residents from being ripped off. The firm is holding town hall meetings this week and offering free consultations.

"We level the playing field we give people free consultations and we give them as much advice as we can," said attorney Michael Moore.
