Texas senate passes voting bill despite 15-hour filibuster

State Senator Carol Alvarado made headlines this week for holding a marathon filibuster standing and speaking continuously on the Senate floor for 15 hours trying to block the GOP voting bill. The measure eventually passed, but her efforts to not go unnoticed.
