Dr. Antoinette Wilson, Assistant Professor at the University of Houston-Downtown explains that the criticism Simone Biles is receiving is rooted in racism and misogyny and that Biles decision is disrupting the typical "Strong Black Woman" or "Superwoman" tropes that society unfairly places on women of color.
