What is blood flow restriction?
Cupping was huge at the Rio Olympics in 2016 and now blood restriction is big in the Tokyo Olympics. Every four years the summer games bring attention to new, often unconventional, methods of training and recovery. This year, some elite athletes are sporting tourniquets to cut off blood flow to certain muscles. Jackie Kleihege from the Memorial Hermann Ironman Clinic shares more about the practice.
