Texas asks for USDA waiver to ban junk food from SNAP benefits

Gov. Abbott has sent a letter asking for a waiver to ban unhealthy foods from SNAP benefits. While the U.S. Agriculture Secretary, a Texas native, supports the move, another Texan says it won't be worth the effort.
