'Brisket & Rice' makes Texas Monthly BBQ list
Brisket and Rice is a local BBQ restaurant that has been gathering a great deal of attention lately and for good reason. First the New York Times, then came Texas Monthly and following that, a lot of local coverage. Pitmasters Phong and Hong Tran were amazed at the reaction from all the press and were not ready for the waves of BBQ fans that descended on their little store next to a gas station in northwest Houston. We made the trip out there to sample the goods and let me tell you, it lives up to the billing. Excellent brisket, incredible homemade sausage, wonderfully creative sides and must try brisket fried rice all combine to really make this humble little joint stand out. 13111 FM 529 @brisketnrice on IG
