Houston-area weather: Hot, humid weather ahead this weekend

Saturday and Sunday will be hot and humid with temperatures near 90 and heat index values closer to 100. So drink plenty of water and take breaks if you have to work outside. Warm and steamy pattern will continue for the next several days with the chance for showers and storms every afternoon and evening. Storm chances do pick up a bit by the middle and end of next week.
