Harris County Budget remains at stalemate during commissioners meeting

No quorum was held Tuesday, preventing Judge Lina Hidalgo and the democratic majority from adopting a new tax rate, which would increase the amount local residents pay by roughly a quarter billion dollars. She says that money is needed to fund pay raises, expand health care and additional investments in law enforcement.
