COVID-19 pill being mass distributed
Paxlovid, a pill to treat COVID-positive patients, was approved late last year. It wasn?t readily available, but now the Biden administration is ordering 20 million pills be distributed to 40,000 pharmacies nationwide. The pill is meant to reduce hospital visits for COVID-afflicted people. Studies have shown it cuts hospitalization rates by as much as 90%.
