'Concrete Batch Plants' in the middle of neighborhoods
There is an ongoing effort to stop concrete plants from popping up in neighborhoods due to their harmful environmental hazards. These plants are known to generate a lot of carcinogens, release dust into the air and be very noisy. The fact that plants like there are usually set up in lower-income neighborhoods raises the question if they are purposely built there since residents in these areas aren?t usually known to oppose its construction.
